Mechanics, electronics and computer science – In the training to become a mechatronics technician, students not only learn the basics of electrical engineering and programming, but also those of metalworking.
what awaits you
Mechatronics engineers are responsible for the manufacture, assembly, commissioning and maintenance of the mechatronic systems in our plants. In detail, this includes the assembly of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic components according to the specifications of design drawings and circuit diagrams. You work on lines, lay and install them. You will measure electrical and relevant non-electrical quantities and apply mechanical and electrical protection measures. You will learn how to install and test hardware and software components and how to program mechatronic systems. In addition, you will be responsible for planning and controlling work processes as well as for monitoring and evaluating work results. Testing and setting functions on mechatronic systems, as well as their commissioning, maintenance and operation are also part of your tasks, as is the application of various assembly and disassembly technologies.
