Material Handling Robots

While many process specifications begin with film build or cure times, every efficient paint line ultimately relies on proper material handling as well.

Parts need to be loaded, unloaded and transferred from one process to the next. Material handling directly affects the production rate, but also can have a dramatic impact on quality, downtime, scrap and transfer efficiency.

Venjakob offers a wide range of material handling capabilities ranging from simple manual systems, to fully-automated "hands-free" operation. Venjakob/Nutro can custom design automated load, unload and transfer mechanisms or integrate material handling robots into the paint line.

Material handling robots outfitted with machine vision can automatically identify each part style, load the part onto the line and send recipe information to the system controller. Similarly, automated unloading can remove painted parts and load them into boxes or pallets for shipment.

Within the paint line itself, robots can transfer painted parts to a separate curing system conveyor to avoid curing over-spray.
