“Measure Twice – Cut Once.”

That’s the age-old adage that seasoned carpenters use to avoid costly mistakes.  The same adage applies to paint-finishing projects.  One miscaculated assumption or incorrect specification can mean hundreds of hours in repairs and downtime.  The show floor is the least ideal place to verify your process.   That’s why Nutro Inc. has invested in a fully-equipped and well- staffed coating applications laboratory.

Nutro Inc.’s lab is available to its customers, formulators, and other industry partners to help develop ,or to optimize, the right paint process. We can help determine the right film build, cure specification or what type of racking or part fixturing works best.

Nutro Inc.’s lab is outfitted with virtually any liquid or powder spray technology from airspray, airless, HVLP and electrostatics to any curing option including convection, gas or electric infrared at any wavelength, induction and UV.  Our trained technicians will help to document your process by measuring properties like film build, adhesion, and cure. Even a small adjustment up-front can translate to enormous savings in paint, scrap, and reworking time.

Whether you are designing a batch process with a simple handgun, or a fully automated system requiring robotic spraying on a floor-mounted or overhead conveyor, we are equipped to simulate production. We can even run pilot scale manufacturing for you on our automated COE line with the Fanuc P50 paint robot.

Nutro Inc.’s lab is located just minutes from Cleveland Hopkins Airport and just off I-71 and the Ohio Turnpike making it easy to get to.  Call Nutro at 440-572-3800 and arrange for a process development or verification test early in your system planning.
