It was the second time that more than 80 experts from the woodworking, window and furniture industry gathered in the East-Westphalian Rheda-Wiedenbrueck. On the 29th and 30th of October 2009 the Rheda-Wiedenbrueck based machine and machine line manufacturer Venjakob GmbH & Co.KG provided information by way of practice orientated lectures and lively discussion forums concerning a large number of interested subjects in the field of surface equipment and technology, especially for the woodworking, window and furniture industries.

In addition, Venjakob's new developments were presented and demonstrated in practice in the companys own Technical Centre. The first day was concluded with a culinary evening and highly interesting conversations and good ideas for further developments. „This type of exchange of information will further all of us“, was the unanimous opinion of both visitors and organiser. Interesting, standardised new developments were presented on the VSD's (Venjakob surface days).  One-off batch sizes are being discussed by everyone. High machine availability and fast paint/lacquer changes at reduced energy costs are required. The painting machine builder from East-Westphalia responded to these requirements with several new developments. All aspects of the new automatic surface spray painting machine „VEN SPRAY DUO“ have been optimised. Starting with the supply/exhaust air management, the fast exchange devices through to the belt conveyor with or without paint recovery. The modular design allows individual customer requirements to be met. The new Venjakob gantry robot represents a new interpretation of a old subject. One-off batch size and complex 2D geometries are in the focus of this flat line painting machine. Emphasis was also placed on a modular design here, permitting individual and optimal configurations as desired. Each machine can be combined with the new paint/lacquer exchange system from Venjakob to realise fast paint changes in the 1 K segment of less than 1 minute.
